My Story
My name is Patrick Buckley and I am a third year undergraduate student at UL, studying Law and Accounting and current treasurer for ULRC. I started rowing 7 years ago with Muckross Rowing Club in Kerry and began rowing in UL during my second year at college and I’m really glad I decided to join ULRC. -Rowing has allowed me to make amazing friends at UL and other clubs. I’ve met a lot of brilliant people from around Ireland because of rowing I would never have met otherwise. It has given me an opportunity to form great habits like getting up early every morning, eating healthy and developing a great work ethic. Being part of the High performance squad at UL provides me with an opportunity to reach my potential as a rower in the competitive scene and hopefully to represent Ireland at rowing in the future.
Interests
Cycling, travelling and rowing.
Goals
My goals are to win a senior pot at the national rowing championships, go sub 6 in my 2k and to row for Ireland.
