My Story
I started rowing in 2016 with New Ross Boat Club and won a silver medal in Junior Quad in 2018 for New Ross. I started rowing competitively in 2021 joining the trialing process for both 2021 and 2022. In 2022 after completing my Leaving Cert I won a silver medal in J18 scull in Irish Champs and was also given the opportunity to represent Ireland in Coupe De La Jeunesse in Spain for 2022. This was a massive opportunity and experience for me and gave me confidence going into University Rowing where I obtained the Bronze Sports Scholarship for the University of Limerick. Ever since joining UL rowing club I have made lifelong friends, had great racing experience in both Ireland and abroad, won national championships, had access to some of the best sports facilities in Ireland and most importantly rowing has helped me balance my studies and my training.
